# Maritime Open Compliance Data

Two freely reusable reference datasets for commercial shipping, compiled from the
published texts and decisions of the IMO, the European Union, IACS and the ILO.

Released under **CC BY 4.0** — reuse, republish and adapt with attribution.

## Datasets

### 1. Maritime Statutory Interval Reference

Every recurring drill, test, survey, certificate and record-keeping obligation a
ship's safety management system has to satisfy, each mapped to the convention
article it comes from and the evidence an inspector or auditor asks to see.

Sources: SOLAS, MARPOL, the ISM Code, the ISPS Code, MLC 2006, the Load Line
Convention and the BWM Convention.

### 2. Maritime Regulatory Deadline Map, 2026–2030

Dated regulatory milestones affecting commercial shipping, with the instrument
each one comes from, what actually changes, and the evidence required.

## Live JSON API

Both datasets are served as JSON with CORS enabled, so they can be consumed
directly rather than vendored:

## Caveats

The standing of the data travels with the files: `NOTICE-statutory-intervals.txt`
accompanies the CSV, and the JSON carries the same statement in a `standing`
field. The 45 rows have not been independently verified against the instruments
by a third party.

Flag administrations, class societies and company SMS procedures frequently
impose shorter intervals than the convention minimum, and convention text is
amended. Phase-ins get deferred. Always verify against the current text and the
vessel's own certificates and flag guidance before relying on an entry.

Corrections are welcome — open an issue with the article reference and the
published version will be amended.
