Connect an AI assistant to Full Ahead Maritime

Link ChatGPT, Claude or any other MCP-capable assistant to your workspace. Once connected, the assistant can read your fleet, maintenance jobs and certificate expiries, and create maintenance jobs on your behalf. You sign in first, and it only ever sees your own data.

If your office network blocks this site

A corporate web filter blocks your browser, not the connector. Claude and ChatGPT call the connector from their own servers, so the tools keep working from a machine that cannot open the site at all.

  1. 1Do the one-time sign-in from an unfiltered device — phone on mobile data, or the same laptop on a personal hotspot. Add the connector there and complete the login prompt.
  2. 2The authorisation is stored in your assistant's account, not in that browser. Back on the office machine, the connector stays connected and every tool still answers.
  3. 3Read the site through the assistant instead of the browser: ask “use Full Ahead Maritime to read /pms-health-check” — the read_site_page tool returns the live page text, and get_listing_copy returns the directory submission copy ready to paste.
  4. 4If the filter is domain-based, ask IT to allow fullaheadmaritime.com as a business-owned domain — you are the registrant, which is usually enough for a category-block exception.

Shared briefing log

Connected assistants share one append-only record inside your workspace. Any assistant can call read_briefings to pick up where another left off, and post_briefing to file findings, evidence or decisions. Entries are added, never overwritten in the ordinary flow, and they never leave your organisation.

Connect

  1. 1Open ChatGPT settings → Apps → Advanced and turn on Developer mode. Read the risk notice ChatGPT shows there. If the option is missing, ask your ChatGPT admin to enable it.
  2. 2Open the new connector dialog.
  3. 3Enter Full Ahead Maritime as the name and paste the connection URL above into the URL field.
  4. 4Review the details, tick “I understand and want to continue” (ChatGPT shows this for every custom server), then click Create and sign in to your Full Ahead Maritime account when prompted.
  5. 5Enable the app from the chat composer, then ask ChatGPT something like “list my vessels with overdue maintenance” or “which of my certificates expire in the next 90 days”.

Refresh after the app changes

Assistants cache what the app can do. After Full Ahead Maritime ships an update, refresh the connection so the assistant picks it up.

  1. 1Open ChatGPT's Plugins page and select Full Ahead Maritime.
  2. 2Scroll to “Information” and click Refresh.
  3. 3ChatGPT cannot change an existing app's URL — if the URL above has changed, delete the app and add it again with the new one.
  4. 4Start a new chat and ask ChatGPT to use the app.

Troubleshooting

“Could not connect” or the sign-in window closes immediately
A browser extension or a corporate network filter is usually blocking the authorisation pop-up. Try again in a normal (non-incognito) window with extensions disabled, or on a personal network.
The assistant connects but lists no tools
The tool list is cached per session. Refresh the connection using the steps above, then start a brand-new chat — existing chats keep the old list.
“Unauthorised” when a tool runs
Your Full Ahead Maritime session expired. Remove the connection, sign in to Full Ahead Maritime in the browser, then add the connection again and re-authorise.
Tools return no fleet data
The connection is scoped to the organisation of the account you authorised with. Check you signed in with the account that holds your vessels, not a second parallel-review account.
