What the safety management module covers
Everything a DPA, master or superintendent has to be able to produce on request.
Statutory certificate register
One register per vessel for ISM, ISPS, SOLAS and MARPOL certificates, with issue, endorsement and expiry dates. Certificates show as expiring in the product from 30 days ahead with a day count, and a nightly check emails workspace admins and superintendents once a certificate is inside 15 days — at the address each of them signed in with, which is not always their working company address.
Drill & exercise schedules
Recurring schedules for abandon ship, fire, enclosed space, oil spill and ISPS security drills, carried as jobs. Closing one records who closed it and when.
Inspection & PSC dates
Internal audits, superintendent visits, class surveys and port state control follow-ups are carried as dated jobs against the vessel, with the day count shown when you look; nothing is sent to warn you in advance.
Evidence library
Photos, signed checklists, certificates and reports attach directly to the vessel, drill or non-conformity they prove, and are retrieved from the record itself during an audit.
Findings and the work that closes them
Record the work that answers a finding as a dated job, and attach the evidence that closes it to the same record, where the change history keeps it.

An edit to a maintenance schedule, a sign-off or a sensor reading is recorded field by field, old value to new value. Edits to certificates, documents and drills are not captured there yet.

Add vessels and their statutory certificates once. Expiry dates then drive the 30-day expiring state you see in the product and the nightly 15-day email.
Set drill and inspection recurrence
Define the intervals your SMS requires. Completing a recurring maintenance job on a calendar interval raises its next occurrence automatically, dated from the completion. Running-hours-based, drill and inspection occurrences are raised by a person.
Crew record it onboard
Officers complete drills, inspections and checklists in the app — offline at sea, syncing when connectivity returns.
Show the auditor
Filter by vessel, code or date range and export the evidence pack, produced on demand from the records themselves.
Common questions
What is ship safety management software?
It digitises the Safety Management System required by the ISM Code: statutory certificates, drill and training schedules, audits and inspections, non-conformities and the evidence trail behind them.
Does it cover both ISM and ISPS?
Yes. The register tracks ISM, ISPS, SOLAS and MARPOL certificates per vessel, and drill schedules cover safety drills as well as ship security drills and exercises.
Can crew record drills without internet?
Yes. Full Ahead Maritime installs as an offline-capable app; records captured at sea sync automatically once the vessel regains connectivity.
